Albert de Booij
Biography
Albert de Booij is deeply interested in the way humanity is evolving in the 21st century. For this reason he has created an international platform called World of Consciousness, guiding and informing people on their journey in pursuit of awareness. The world is constantly changing and without awareness, it is difficult to navigate. Awareness is the greatest agent for change and for gaining different perspectives.
As a businessman and intellectual, Albert de Booij is a strong advocate of a Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) lifestyle and he received his Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate, from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell. As graduate and Ambassador of Hippocrates Health Institute (the #1 Health Institute in the World in West Palm Beach, Florida) he is certified as Hippocrates Lifestyle Medicine Coach (Organic, Living Food, Plant-Based Nutrition). He has studied his entire life (and still does), with the aim to gather broad knowledge in as many fields possible. After graduating high school he travelled throughout Europe, a bohemian period, during which he made a living as a jazz pianist. For a number of years he studied History (Leiden), took Piano lessons at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music and acquired further qualifications (Master Certificate) in Musical Arranging techniques and Composition studies at the Berklee School of Music (Boston). Through the years he obtained a number of university certificates in the fields of Cultural Sciences, Music Theory and Philosophy. He is married to Argentinean artist Solange Kirschen (Sokia).
In the mid-seventies he founded De Booij c.s., Party- & Congress Architects®. Between 1975 and 1997 this company organized more than 10,000 events for international companies and
governmental institutions, and countless concerts featuring international artists, for example Sarah Vaughan, Art Blakey, The
JazzMessengers, Charly Mingus, Rhoda Scott and many others. His social engagement and generalist background made him realize that he needed to create and position a new organization in addition to the one organizing company events, product presentations and conferences, that could produce original and refreshing ideas and creative concepts.
Albert established Speakers Academy® in 1997, a (online) platform for new insights and points of view presented by top experts. This institute mediates for, and in many cases handles the management of prominent speakers in the fields of arts, politics, sciences, culture and sports. Receiving more than 6,000 requests annually, Speakers Academy® is the main supplier of national and international key note speakers in Europe. In 2002 he was offered the office of State Secretary of Culture and Media in the Dutch government. To avoid conflicts of interests he did not accept the offer. Albert de Booij founded in 2008 'The Eagle Paradigm®' in cooperation with prof. dr. ir. Guus Berkhout, helping organizations, governments and corporations create and sustain a competitive new and strong future.
Albert de Booij is a successful and authentic speaker himself, especially to young international audiences. He lectures on philosophy, music, Buddhism, nutrition & health. He developed a vision on the future in which he goes off the beaten tracks deliberately and redefines concepts that are considered to be common property.
